🤖 About Me
-
I’m an Associate Professor at NUDT in China, and currently visiting CUHK in Hong Kong.
-
I also serve as an Associate Editor for IEEE T-RO, RA-L, ICRA, and IROS.
-
My research focuses on embodied intelligence for autonomous robots to improve perception, reasoning, navigation, and manipulation skills for real-world robotic systems. Building on my work in spatial perception, localization, and long-term autonomy, I investigate how foundation models, such as VLMs, VFMs, VLAs, BFMs, etc., can support generalizable robot learning, multimodal embodied perception, and long-horizon mobile manipulation in complex and dynamic environments. I have authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in leading robotics venues, including IJRR, TRO, TPAMI, RAL, RSS, ICRA, IROS, and CVPR.

I’m recruiting Ph.D. and master’s students interested in embodied intelligence, robot learning, perception, navigation, and manipulation. If you are interested in joining my team, please email me your CV and a brief statement of your research interests at chenxieyuanli(at)hotmail.com.
